Mary's goal as a photographer became clear just a few years ago when she started mentoring teenagers. As a scout, advocate for the arts and mentor to high school seniors, she found she could make a difference in a meaningful way in the lives of young adults not only with her art but also with a simple gift of her time. While her images have been nationally published and a collection of her work resides in the Boy Scout Collection in the Smithsonian, her most impactful work graces the walls of homes and helps families decorate their worlds with highly personal artwork. Most of us have a million snapshots in our phones but she wants to create something that doesn’t just sit in in cyberspace, but instead could become part of your family heritage. I envision these portraits I create as being something that is handed down through generations and displayed as your children grow.
